Nigeria: Court of Appeal Reinstates Dakingari as Kebbi Governor

An election tribunal sitting in Sokoto has reinstated Alhaji Saidu Usman Dakingari as the Executive governor of Kebbi state.

The appellate election tribunal sitting in Sokoto state today reversed the decision of the lower tribunal which made an order for fresh elections in 90-days. Going by the current judgement, the planned governorship elections will have to be shelved, unless the Supreme Court rules otherwise.
