Namibia: Internet Fraud Cons the Country Out of N$3,5 Million

COMPANIES, consumers and Government were swindled out of nearly N$6 million in 2010 through reported commercial crime, ranging from false cheques and employer claims to card and internet fraud.

Internet and insurance policy fraud topped the N$5,7-million commercial crime list for the year, the World Bank said in its report, 'Ill-gotten Money and the Economy', released at the end of last year.
