Tunisia: Microsoft Engages Youth in Rural North-West

A group of approximately 105 Tunisian students gathered in Ain Draham (located in north-western Tunisia near the Algeria border) on the weekend of December 16th for a technological forum sponsored by Microsoft.

During the conference Microsoft Tunisia helped prepare the youth participants for its latest "Imagine Cup," a tech-design competition. The national final of this event is scheduled to be held next May, which will be followed by July's International final in Sydney, Australia. A team of four Tunisian students was selected to participate in the final. However, the Development Program Director for Microsoft Tunisia, Hafedh Yahamdi, stated that this number may increase.
