As the controversy concerning the salaries of coaches newly employed by the Nigeria Football Federation rages on, goalkeeper trainer of the national U-17 team and ex international, Emeka Amadi, has said that he is surprised about reports that the Eaglets coaches rejected salaries offered them by the NFF.
The former Flying Eagles goalkeeper who was in goal during the Saudi 89 miracle of Damman fame told LEADERSHIP SPORTS exclusively that he has not had any contact with the NFF since he was appointed into the coaching cadre of the Golden Eaglets.
"I am surprised that some people are insinuating that we have rejected the money the NFF has offered us. That is news to me because I have not had any contact with anybody in the FA after my appointment."
Amadi also stated that he is not happy that some observers have decided to talk on behalf of the coaches insisting that they are waiting for the NFF to call them for negotiations. The coaching crew of the Golden Eaglets' is yet to commence their programmes even though they have important matches lined up.
