Tunisia: Hamas Leader Visits Memorial of Citizens Killed By Israeli Forces

Ismail Haniyeh, leader of the Palestinian government in Gaza, visited Hammam-Chatt, a suburb south of Tunis that was the site of an armed Israeli intervention in 1985 that claimed the lives of 70 Tunisians and Palestinians.

Haniyeh visited a memorial to the martyrs of that attack, where he laid a wreath of flowers and recited a verse from the Quran in their memory.
