Uganda: 2,500 Households Face Eviction

Nwoya — Tensions are high in Koch Goma and Purongo sub-counties in Nwoya District following an eviction threat by a family that could see more than 2,500 households homeless.

Although the local community claims that they have been on the said land for over 30 years and have all the legal documents, including land titles to occupy the land, the claimants; Damaji and Aber family, said the land belongs to them.
