Egyptian Bloc Denies Alliance With Al-Nour and Welcomes Civil Parliamentary One

The Egyptian Bloc alliance denied any intention to form a parliamentary alliance with the Salafist al-Nour Party, al-Wafd Party, and Building and Development Party regarding choosing the speaker of the People's Assembly and the two deputies to confront the Democratic alliance led by the Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party (FJP).

The Egyptian Bloc alliance, which includes al-Tagamo', the Free Egyptians, and the Social Democratic Egyptian parties, "aims to transform itself from a mere electoral alliance to a political and parliamentary alliance", the alliance said in a statement reported by the Middle East News Agency. It added that it expand its alliance to include all the powers aiming at forming a modern, democratic, civil state.
