Uganda: Research Rating Uganda 11th Saddest Country Not Accurate

The Saturday Monitor of January 8, reported that a research by The Legatum Institute in London had placed Uganda as the 11th saddest country in the world. This is far from true; Uganda cannot be among the saddest countries. No country along the equator can be among the 100 saddest countries, anyway. Why? The sun!

We are simply a happy lot. Several years ago, BBC (web version) reported research findings by the New Scientist magazine pointing more or less in the opposite direction, giving Nigeria the top position (happiest) and Romania the least happy.
