Kenya: Inmate, 60, Kills Two in Kamiti Prison Sickbay

An inmate at Kamiti Maximum Security Prison on Tuesday night murdered two cellmates and injured three others in the sick bay.

The 60-year-old death row inmate whose sentence was commuted to life was only identified as Njoroge. He is reported to have used crutches to strangle and bludgeon his two cellmates, identified as Ibrahim serving a 10-year sentence and Kariuki whose death sentence was also commuted to life.
