At least 6,517candidates have registered to do the Allied Health Examinations which kick off today, the Uganda Allied Health Examination Board announced yesterday. UAHEB executive secretary Kato Kimoga said in a statement that the exams will run up to February 5 and will be conducted at 27 accredited centres.
He warned unlicensed schools against collecting money from students for examinations, saying the proprietors risk being prosecuted. "There are some institutions or centres that extort money from students claiming that they are accredited by the examinations body. We are tired of such cases and this time, the law will have to take its course," he said.
