Nigeria: Police Deny Rumour of Plans to Attack Non-Muslims in Sokoto

Sokoto — The Sokoto State Police command yesterday called on people in the state to disregard rumours that there are plans to launch attack on non-indigenes and non-Muslims in the state.

A statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Sokoto state Command, ASP El-Mustapha Sani stated: "This rumour is not only unfounded and untrue but also an attempt by unscrupulous elements to cause disaffection and create fears among citizens of Sokoto state."
