A significant improvement was recorded in transactions last week, on the secondary segment of the capital market, as the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE, defied the ongoing protest over the removal of subsidy on fuel prices.
The value of listed equities on the NSE, represented by the market capitalisation, appreciated in the week under review by N36.449 billion or 0.56 per cent to N6.567 trillion from N6.531 trillion at which it opened.
