Nigeria: IBB Praises Protesters, Calls for True Federalism

Abuja — FORMER Military Head of State, General Ibrahim Babangida (rtd), yesterday returned to the public space, with a call on President Goodluck Jonathan to 'seize the moment' by restructuring the country along the path of 'true federalism.'

Babangida, who praised the nationwide protests for the orderly conduct, said he came to this conclusion after a deep reflection on the challenges thrown up by the strike regarding the nation's federalism, which he described as 'skewed towards a strong presidency.'
