Nigeria: Lawmaker Decries PDP, ACN Clashes in Benue

The Benue State House of Assembly member for Tarka State constituency, Hon. Anthony Sende, has condemned the lingering clashes between members of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), and said that the development was not capable of fostering disunity among political elite.

Members of the ACN, had on Friday, clashed with that of the PDP in Wannune, the headquarters of Tarka Local Government, and the hometown of the Senate Minority Leader, Senator George Akume, which saw the ultra-modern market in the area completely destroyed, just as one businessman was killed and chairman of the ACN in the Local Government Area detained.
