The cost of sugar in the domestic market is expected to reduce gradually following a sustained drop in the price of the commodity internationally.
Futures markets showed that by August, prices will stand at $595 per tonne (Sh51,765) compared to $800 (Sh69,600) in a similar period last year, representing a 26 per cent drop.
