Ghana: No Ivorian Dissidents in Ghana-CDS

The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lt. Gen Peter Augustine Blay, has assured the authorities La Cote d'Ivoire that Ghana remains committed to contributing effectively towards the peace and stability of that country. Ghana would therefore not allow any group of Ivorians in Ghana to destabilize the neighbouring country.

Gen. Blay was speaking at the headquarters of the UN peacekeeping operation (ONUCI) in Abidjan while on a seven-day working visit to the Ghanaian troops on peacekeeping duties in the country. He and his delegation were being given an operational briefing at the headquarters.
