Rwanda: MPs Examine Mineduc's Achievements

The committee in charge of education, technology, culture and youth at the lower chamber of Parliament last week questioned State Minister Mathias Harebamungu concerning the implementation the last government retreat's recommendations.

The recommendations of the last government retreat, held early 2011, highlighted issues similar to the education sector strategic plan for 2010-2015, which aims at transforming Rwandan citizens into skilled human capital for socioeconomic development by ensuring equitable access to quality education and focusing on combating illiteracy, promotion of science and technology, critical thinking and positive values.
