The Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT) suspended the intermediary workers general strike - projected to consist of 35,000 workers - which was scheduled for January 25th until further notice.
Mongi Abdel-Rahim, spokesperson of the UGTT, confirmed the suspension. Abdel-Rahim stated that the decision to suspend the general strike came after a meeting between UGTT members, the Minister of Social Affairs, and representatives from the office of the Prime Minister.
