Nigeria: Madalla Blast Victims for Burial On Feb. 1 - Parish Priest

NIGER: Twenty one bodies of parishioners killed in the Dec. 25 bomb blast at St Theresa Catholic Church, Madalla, Niger State, will be buried on Feb. 1, Rev. Fr. Isaac Achi, the Parish Priest, has said.

Achi disclosed this when the Knights of St. Mulumba, Gwagwalada Sub-council, visited the parish in Madalla on Sunday. He said that the digging of the graves would commence on Thursday, Jan. 26 at the Church premises.

The cleric said the late parishioners would be interred on Feb. 1 by 10 a.m. after a requiem mass. He added that the total people killed by the bomb blast were 44, out of which, 26 were parishioners.

"The owners of five bodies out of the 26 have taken them for burial according to their culture," Achi said.

He urged well-meaning Nigerians to support the parish towards the burial. NAN
