Sudan: Policeman Shot Dead By Militia in West Darfur

Garsila — A policeman was shot and killed by a group of gunmen on Saturday in the Soja area, north of Garsila in West Darfur.

A witness told Radio Dabanga an armed group traveling on camels attacked a police station at 3:00 a.m. killing one man and wounding another.

The gunmen also kidnapped five policeman and stole weapons and ammunition from the station.

The witness said the perpetrators fled towards the Karko mountains.
