Nigeria: Bayelsa Guber - Court to Hear Sylva's Application for Joinder Today

An Abuja Federal High Court will today hear an application brought before it by Bayelsa State Governor Timipre Sylva, seeking to be joined in a suit filed by Henry Dickson asking the court to declare him the lawful standard bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state's governorship election scheduled for April.

Last week, the court granted an order compelling the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to restore the name of Henry Seriaki Dickson as the PDP governorship candidate for the state.
