Angola: Mapess Registers Over 300,000 Civil Servants and Administrative Agents

Soyo — The Ministry of Public Administration, Employment and SocialSecurity (MAPESS) registers at least 373.008 civil servants and administrative agents.

This was said to Angop on Thursday by the incumbent minister, António Pitra Neto, during the opening of the consultative council of the institution, held in Soyo, northern Zaire province.

In addition, the official said that 55 per cent of this figure belongs to education sector, 19 are part of the health domains, two for justice and 24 per cent are linked to sectors.

The minister also said that 65 per cent of this figure are male workers, while 35 per cent are ladies.
