Uganda: Three Dead in Six Separate Kampala Fires

Three people died in six separate fire incidents that occurred in Kampala on Thursday night leaving two people fataly injured.

Kampala Deputy Chief Fire officer, Simon Peter Musoke told the New Vision online that of the six fire incidents, five were in Kampala Metropolitan area.

According to Musoke, of the six cases, five were caused by wax or paraffin candles that were left un-attended to.

The dead have been identified as Maama Zahara an expectant mother and her 2-year old son only identified as Hakim.

She was a resident of Mutundwe in Wabiyinja zone a Kampala suburb.

In another inferno that cost life of an 84-year old woman, Constance Ngonziba Musoke a resident of occurred in Kitaka zone in Natete.
