Southern Africa: SADC Ministers Assess Zuma' Campaign to AUC Presidency

Addis Ababa) — The Foreign Affairs ministers and ambassadors of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) met this Friday in Addis Ababa, to analyse the SADC candidature to the African Union (AU) Commission presidency.

The meeting was held in one of the African Union new building, led by the Angolan Foreign minister, Georges Chicoti, as representative of the country assuming SADC rotating presidency.

At the end of the meeting, Georges Chicoti told Angolan press said that all SADC ministers paid particular attention to subject on the campaign of the South African Home Affairs minister, Nkozasana Zuma who is the candidate of the regional body.

"All SADC foreign affairs ministers attended the meeting where we evaluated the campaign and looking at what any other initiative can be implemented", saying that it was a short meeting but with good results".

The Angolan diplomacy chief said that the meeting enabled to know which information each minister should obtain on the campaign.
