  • Comment

Malabo — The goalkeeper of the national football squad, Hugo, who is tipped to be the choice for replacing Carlos on Monday's decisive game with Côte d'Ivoire, said he is prepared to give his contribution and help the team pass to the next stage of the African Nations Cup (CAN2012).

Speaking to the press, in the end of a training session held on Saturday afternoon in La Paz stadium, the goalkeeper said he has been working hard, even though he has not played yet, since the coach had Carlos as main choice.

The squad's main goalkeeper, Carlos, will miss Monday's match for accumulation of yellow cards (one in the first and one in the second match).

"We are doing a collective work with 23 players. Any setback one of us is in condition to substitute the same position team mate", Hugo assured.

Besides Hugo, there is also the goalkeeper Wilson as another alternative for the coach.

In the group, Angola come second with four points, two less than Côte d'Ivoire, followed by Sudan, with one point, and Burkina Faso, with no point.
