South Africa: Local Logistics Firm in Strategic Tie-Up With UAE Retailer

Pan Emirates, a United Arab Emirates (UAE) based leading brand in home furniture and accessories retail, has partnered with South African major logistics company Barloworld Logistics in order to optimise its inbound and outbound distribution across Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries - namely Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates, TradeArabia News Service reports.

"We are in the process of an aggressive growth strategy in the GCC and recognised the need to align our supply chain strategy to our business strategy," PAN Emirates Group finance director Mohammed Katawala said, adding that supply chain costs form a big part of the final product cost, and if not managed properly, could ultimately put the business at risk.
