Uganda: Cotton Farmers Want Shs46 Billion Accounted for

Cotton farmers have demanded accountability for Shs46b that was collected from them by the Cotton Development Organisation (CDO) in the 2010/11 season.

The farmers claim the Shs600 they were asked to pay as taxes per kilogramme of cotton seeds was inappropriate and demand the intervention of the President to check any irregularities.
