Nigeria: Medical Lab Council Adopts WHO Standards

The Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) is expanding its continuing quality improvement programme and has adopted the WHO-AFRO laboratory assessment checklist as a tool for national accreditation.

Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the Council, Professor Anthony Emeribe who disclosed this said the adoption which is a part of the Council's effort to ensure quality laboratory services would serve as a link to the WHO-AFRO National Health Laboratory Service Networks.
