Chicomba — Over 33.000 citizens have already updated their voter cards in the Chicomba Municipality, southern Huila Province, missing only less than ten per cent to reach the figure outlined by the authorities.
The information was given Monday to ANGOP, by the assistant administrator of Chicomba, António Guerra, who assured that the authorities are very close to achieving the intended the figure, which is just over 44.000 voters.
He said it is important that all eligible citizens confirm and update their electoral registration, aiming to vote in the coming elections, scheduled for the second semester of the current year.
António Guerra admitted that this number was achieved thanks to the sensitisation work done by the authorities, as well as the social activists and political organisations.
