Nigeria: Bears Still Reign at Stock Exchange

As a result the market closed 0.19 per cent lower yesterday as the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) All-share Index fell from 20,623.63 to close at 20,583.61. Similarly, the market capitalisation of equities shed N12 billion to close at N6.487 trillion.

Price losses by blue chip stocks caused the fall in the market indicators. In all 17 equities lost value while only nine added value. Julius Berger Nigeria Plc led the price losers yesterday with a loss of N1.28 to close at N24.37 per share.
