Gambia: Construction Consultants and Contractors Capacitized

The Association of Construction Contractors (GACCON) and the Gambia Association of Construction Consultants (GACSUL) yesterday 13th February commenced a two day training workshop for construction consultants and contractors on the theme, "The New National Assembly Building Project (NNABP)", at the Laico Atlantic Hotel in Banjul. The training workshop is funded by the National Training Authority (NTA) to capacitize the members of these two professional associations.

Speaking at the opening, Mr. Mahtarr Jobe, the President of the Association of Construction Consultants said the reason they have chosen the new National Assembly building project as a theme for their training is because it is one of the biggest construction projects currently being undertaken in the country with a highly complex building design and methods of construction.
