Angola: Authorities Devise Strategies for Reporting Violence Against Child

Luanda — The National Children Institute (INAC), the National Police and the public prosecutors met, Thursday, in Luanda, to analyze the mechanisms of articulation and coordination related to the cases of reporting violations against child's rights.

According to the director general of INAC, Ruth Madalena Mixinge, the meeting aims to disseminate the legal procedures involved in the complaint and legal consultations, referral of cases of violation of child rights, and establish mechanisms for harmonization and coordination of matters and different systems of child protection.

She added that the objectives also include upgrading of the technicians assigned to the area of care and treatment of appropriate tools to the service of their duties efficiently and to encourage and strengthen the exchange of experiences and information among different sectors, particularly between INAC and the National Police.

The event also aims to promote the integration and interconnection of actions to speed up the resolution of cases where children are involved in accordance with its nature and specificity.
