Liberia: Who Saying the Truth-Warner Revelations Vs. LPRC Recriminations

As the war of words intensifies between the former Chairman of the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) and the Corporation, the truth of the substantive issues of corruption-ridden contracts, plunder and conflict of interest remains obscured in the throes of verbosity and rhetoric. At stake, therefore, are the scarce commodities of integrity, transparency and justice--reasons why some pundits are calling for expeditious forensic investigation to flash ambers of light on the complicated matter and uncover the true. The Analyst reports.

It is becoming increasingly clear now the verbal fracas that ensued between the Management of LPRC and former Board Chairman T. Negbalee Warner is not showing signs of early resolution. The hullaballoo was sparked by Warner's pronouncement of his resignation from the LPRC board over several issues bordering incessant fiscal regularities at the Corporation.

Both sides are embroiled in claims and counter-claims that have effectively obscured where the truth actually lies.
