Ghana's Andre Ayew scored a last-gasp header that gave Marseille a 1-0 victory over Inter Milan in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie on Wednesday.

The dramatic 93rd-minute header by the 22 year-old Ghanaian international puts the French side in a good position as they bid to reach the last eight for the first time since they won the trophy in 1993.

Marseille dominated possession but looked set for a night of frustration until Ayew's decisive intervention in the game's dying stages.

The night also saw the introduction of another Ghana international, Jordan Ayew, younger brother of Andre, who came on for Brandao.
