ANOTHER marketing season begins on April 1, 2012, yet maize farmers remain unpaid for two consecutive seasons despite immensely contributing to national strategic grain reserves.
Addressing guests at the Agricultural Marketing Authority stakeholder consultative workshop in Harare, Agriculture, Mec-hanisation and Irrigation Development Minister Joseph Made said the payment of farmers was no longer the responsibility of the Grain Marketing Board (GMB) but of the government.
