Nigeria: Why Previous Education Curriculum Failed - NERDC

Enugu — The inability of the Nigerian Education Research and Development Council (NERDC) to phase out gradually the old curriculum from the education system occasioned by improper planning, caused the failure of the previous curriculum, national secretary of the council, Prof. Godswill Obioma has said.

Prof. Obioma, who addressed newsmen shortly after the three-day workshop to review the 9-year Basic Education Curriculum (BEC), in Enugu yesterday said the previous curriculum failed due to poor implementation of the plans marshalled out during the reviews.
