Gambia: Govt Enhances Mobility At Forestry Department

The Gambia government through the Ministry of Forestry and the Environment recently donated four brand new vehicles to the Department of Forestry, to enhance its mobility needs, during a presentation ceremony held the Department's office along Kairaba Avenue.

Speaking at the ceremony, theminister of Forestry and the Environment, Fatou Ndey Gaye, saidthe donationis expected to enhance the service delivery of the institution.She explained that the Department of Forestry was fortunate to have access to the National Forestry Fund (NFF), indicating that it was able to obtain annual approvals which support it to supplement the national development estimate to cater for operational costs in order to promote the protection, management, development, and sustainable use of the forest in the country.
