WANDERERS Club successfully defended their title in the Tigo Trophy cricket tournament with a 57-run victory over rivals, Expatriates SC, in an entertaining final played at the TGT venue in Arusha on Sunday.
Determination in both batting and fielding was all the winners needed to overcome their otherwise stubborn opponents in what turned out to be an evenly contested duel. Expatriates SC won the toss and opted to field, a decision they will probably regret to have taken as Wanderers went in to bat first and posted an imposing total of 184 runs for five wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
