Kenya: Muhuri Lashes Out At MPs

PARLIAMENT has been accused of intending to use its immunity to interfere with the International Criminal Court cases against four Kenyans.

Muslim for Human Rights lobby group said this in relation to claims by Yatta MP Charles Kilonzo purported to have originated from Britain saying ICC was targeting President Kibaki. Muhuri executive director Khalid Hussein said Parliament should not use its immunity to interfere with court proceedings that are underway at the ICC. "What these MPs are doing is complicating matters for the four suspects. Their machinations through fake documents in parliament will do more harm than good to the four suspects," Khalid said.
