Angola: Runners Train in Ethiopia

Luanda — The athletics technician Pedro Luciano will travel to Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) on Wednesday for a training programme involving nine Angolan runners preparing for the Olympic Games of January 2013 in London, Britain, Angop learned.

The information was released by a source from the Angolan Athletics Federation that says that Pedro Luciano will remain at the Mountain Centre international training academy for 30 days to follow up the Angolan racers attending the training.

According to the federation chairman, Carlos Rosa, Pedro Luciano might be replaced by another coach for the programme lasting six months.

Since January in Ethiopia, the runners are being supervised by Angolan coach Mário Katoco from central Kuanza Sul province.

The list of athletes includes three from Kwanza sul, three from southern Huila, two from Bie and one from Luanda.
