Kenya: Kamar Backs IEBC's 2013 Polls Date

The move by the independent election and boundaries commission to set March 4 2013 as the general election date has drawn various reaction from leaders across the country.

Two MPs have already thrown their weight behind the date. Higher education Minister who is also eldoret East MP Pro. Margret Kamar and his Dujis counterpart Aden Duale while speaking in Garissa over the weekend during the 13th graduation ceremony of the Garissa teachers training college welcomed the IIEBC move to set the election date. Prof. Kamar commended the electoral body for "giving the country direction which would intern help in planning".
