Gusau — Over N286million has distributed to beneficiaries of the Fadama III project in Zamfara State, the North-west zonal coordinator of the project, Alhaji Aminu Marafa has said. Marafa said the beneficiaries of the N286millon were drawn from 686 Fadama User Groups across the state, adding that they are made of farmers and small scale entrepreneurs.

He said the gesture was aimed at encouraging people to become self-reliant. While appealing to the beneficiaries to utilize the funds for the purpose for which they were given, the coordinator said there will be constant monitoring and supervision to ensure that the funds are not channelled into other uses.
