Nigeria: 'You Have a Case to Answer', Court Tells Goje, Four Others

A Federal High Court sitting in Gombe, the Gombe state capital, today ruled that former governor of Gombe state, Alhaji Danjuma Goje and four others being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over offences bordering on conspiracy and money laundering, have a case to answer.

The trial judge, Justice Olaide Babatunde Quadri also ruled that the EFCC have powers to prosecute the accused persons arising from the establishment Act of the commission, according to a statement by the spokesman of the commission Mr. Wilson Uwujaren.
