Sierra Leone: Njala Staff Insist On 113 Percent Salary Hike - Vow to Continue Strike Action

Representatives of the Njala University's Academic Staff Association (ASA-NU) were yesterday invited for preliminary talks with the college administration but senior ASA-NU officials insist their demands "are not negotiable and non-separable".

ASA-NU Bo campus president, Turad Senesie, will lead the Bo campus delegation to team up with Dr. J.C. Abu-Kpawoh and others at Mokonde but the association said any negotiation outside a 113% increase in salary starting March 2012 alongside the salary drawbacks from October 2011 to February 2012 would not be entertained.
