Emberemi — Emberemi Elementary School has been upgraded to junior school level and as a result the enrollment of students in general and female students in particular is growing, according to Mr. Yoel Tekle, director of the school.
He indicated that the reason for the growth in female enrollment is that the awareness of parents has increased due to campaign conducted. Moreover, the upgrading of the school to junior level has created a good opportunity for those students who finished elementary school and who used to travel about 10 Km. to Massawa to pursue further education.
