Nigeria: NWFL Sure of Flamingoes' Qualification

Chairperson of the Nigerian Women Football League, NWFL, Dilichukwu Onyedima has expressed confidence that the Flamingoes will qualify today as they entertain their Zambian counterparts in the return leg of the qualifying series of the 2012 FIFA U -17 World Cup billed for Azerbaijan.

Speaking to Saturday Vanguard Sports, the Director of FCT Queens said the 2-1 win in the first leg makes it impossible for the girls to lose out of the tournament.

"I expect nothing less than victory from the girls. I have this confidence they will put smiles on our faces and will not disappoint us. We are among the best in female football in the continent, so I believe that the girls will demonstrate this on the pitch of play once again," she said.

On the non-release of players for their club engagement this weekend, she said, "We allowed it because the game is very crucial to the nation which is above clubs assignment".
