Nigeria: Community, Herdsmen Clash - 'No Mosque Was Burnt in Abraka'

Ughelli — HEAD of Personnel Management in Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta State, Mr. Frank Atube, weekend, said no mosque was burnt in the crisis that erupted at Urhuoka-Abraka between Fulani herdsmen and people of the community, following the alleged murder of Mrs. Margaret Okotie in her farm by Fulani herdsmen.

Atube, who held a meeting with the community, Muslims and security agents after paying a condolence visit to the family of late Mrs. Okotie, said the crisis was not religious as reported in the media and that peace had returned to the community.
