Mozambique: Management of Medicines Improved, Claims Minister

Maputo — Mozambican Health Minister Alexandre Manguele said on Wednesday that the new strategic plan for pharmaceutical logistics will improve the management of medicines, and will avoid any repeat of the critical shortages of medicines that occurred last year.

Speaking at the opening in Maputo of the Bi-Annual Meeting of the Health Sector Coordination Committee, which brings together the Ministry and the donors who support the health service, Manguele recognised that 2011 was a difficult year for the management of medical supplies.
