Nigeria: Lateness - Governor Lamido Hammers Commissioners, Special Advisers

Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State has locked out about 160 top government functionaries including 11 commissioners, special advisers, special assistants, permanent secretaries and directors from attending a retreat on Wednesday for their lateness to attend the function.

THISDAY in Dutse learnt that the trouble started when the Governor arrived at the venue at 9 am only to discover that only about 40 of the over 200 participants expected were present at the venue. This infuriated Lamido, who ordered that no other person would be admitted into the hall.
