At the opening of the 7th Annual Cape Town and Western Cape Destination Conference, on Tuesday, 27 March 2012 at the Pavilion Conference Centre, V&A Waterfront, keynote speakers urged delegates to amplify their efforts, share their heritage and grow tourism to 15% of provincial GDP.
The conference focused on the opportunities that cultural tourism presents and particularly how Cape Town and the Western Cape can utilise this element of tourism to elevate its global profile.
